Aditya Dhar’s ‘Dhurandhar 2’ is all set for release. There is a preview of the film on 18th March and the film is to be released on 19th March. The film is doing well in advance booking. In view of the increasing demand for films, new shows are now being added. Now there are reports that the shows of the film will run for 24 hours.
Dhurandhar 2 shows will run 24 hours
Dhurandhar 2 has sold 15 lakh tickets in advance booking. Some of these tickets are also from tree previews. The run time of the film is approximately 4 hours. For this reason, it is very difficult for exhibitors to run 4 shows on one screen in regular runtime.
Hindustan Times quoted a source and wrote – In most theaters there is a window of 4 hours 40 minutes in a show. It also has trailers, intervals etc. Now due to the demand of Dhurandhar 2, post midnight shows are also being added.
At Cinepolis in Magnet Mall, Bhandup, Mumbai, the shows start from 1:55 in the morning and the last show is till 11:30 in the night. The first show in PVR of C&B Square Chakla, Andheri East starts at 2:45 am. The last show is till 11:59 in the night. Some theaters in Ahmedabad also have post-midnight shows. However, keeping safety in mind, it is not possible to adopt this model in all cities. But this model is being followed in theaters of Western and South India.
DDLJ show had to be shifted
Whereas in the Maratha temple of Mumbai, the show of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge is screened every day at 11:30 am for the last 30 years. And people also go to watch this film. But considering the runtime of Dhurandhar 2, the show of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge has been shifted to the morning slot.
Talking about Dhurandhar 2, Ranveer Singh is in the lead role in this film. The film also has stars like Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun.
