All NDA candidates have won in the voting on five Rajya Sabha seats of Bihar. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar got 44 votes on the basis of first preference. However, he could not get the certificate of victory on Monday. Sanjay Gandhi had taken the certificate in his place. Today (March 17, 2026) JDU National Working President Sanjay Jha handed it over to Nitish Kumar.
While handing over the certificate, Sanjay Jha has shared the picture with his X handle. He wrote, “Today, Honorable Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar got the opportunity to hand over the certificate of being elected to the Rajya Sabha. During this, party leader Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh ‘Gandhiji’ was also present. His public life has been dedicated to the service of the citizens and the development of Bihar. From the state to the national level, a newness has always been seen in his thoughts and work.”

‘Nitish Kumar will continue to guide the state government’
Along with giving the certificate of victory, Sanjay Kumar Jha also said a big thing about the future strategy. In his post, he has also made it clear about Nitish Kumar that his presence in Rajya Sabha will give new impetus to the development of Bihar. Apart from this, Nitish Kumar will also continue to provide his guidance to the state government.

The leaders are elated with the victory of all the NDA candidates in the elections for the five Rajya Sabha seats of Bihar. On the results, Sanjay Kumar Jha said, “We were saying from the beginning that as per the support, our candidates will win comfortably on all the five seats. In the game of numbers, NDA did not have any problem and the results came accordingly. There is a lot of work to be done in Bihar, hence many people want that the work of their area should be done…”
