Vietnam’s EV manufacturing company VinFast has made a big announcement for its customers. The company will now continue the free charging facility for its electric vehicles in India, Indonesia and Philippines for a longer period. Actually, earlier this facility was for a limited time, but now it has been extended till 31 March 2029. This will directly benefit those people who are thinking of buying an electric car or are already driving a VinFast car.
Under this scheme, customers will be able to charge their vehicles at V-Green charging stations without any cost. The special thing is that this facility is not limited only to new customers, but old customers will also get full benefit of it. This can further increase people’s confidence in electric vehicles.
Benefits of buying an electric car
VinFast has started another special offer with free charging, which is named “Trade Gas for Electric”. The objective of this scheme is to bring people from petrol and diesel vehicles to electric vehicles. Extra discounts are also being given to customers who leave their old petrol cars and buy VinFast’s electric cars. Under this offer, you can get up to 3% discount on electric car and 5% discount on electric scooter. This scheme will be applicable from March 11 to March 31, 2026. The good thing is that this discount can also be availed along with other offers of the company, due to which customers will get more benefits.
Almost zero running costs
VinFast believes that if the cost of driving reduces, people will increasingly move towards electric vehicles. With this thinking, the company has started another program named “GreenForAll”. Under this, people using electric taxi service are also being given exemption in some countries. According to company officials, the free charging facility had received good response earlier also, hence it has been extended further. When the cost of charging ends, driving an electric car will become almost free for people. This will not only save people’s money, but will also benefit the environment.
