The team of ATS and IB has got a big success in Hapur, Uttar Pradesh. Police have arrested two suspects who were spying in India for Pakistan. Police have recovered photos and videos of Delhi’s Ramesh Nagar metro station and ancient temples from them. The accused were doing recce of sensitive religious places in India.
Joint teams of Hapur’s Dhaulana police station, ATS Meerut and IB Delhi have arrested two suspects, Azim Rana and Azad Rajput, who were spying for notorious Pakistani gangster Shahzad Bhatti. Both the accused were doing recce of sensitive religious places in India.
Photographs of religious places recovered
The IB team has recovered two mobile phones from them. In which anti-national chats, photos, videos and location data have been found. The accused are being interrogated. Efforts are being made to know who other people are associated with them. A case related to anti-national activities has been registered against both the accused.
Giving information about this, SP Hapur Gyananjay Singh said that Hapur’s Dhaulana police along with Meerut ATS and IB team have arrested the accused Azim Rana and Azad Rajput. Through their mobile phones and surveillance, it came to light that both the accused were engaged in activities adverse to the security and interests of the Indian nation.
Pictures sent to ISI backed gangster
SP said that photographs of the famous religious places here, photographs of Ramesh Nagar Metro Station, Delhi and nearby Sanatan temples have been found from them, not only this, an attempt was made to take photographs of the ancient Ravana temple located in Bisarkh. The accused had sent these photographs to Pakistan’s ISI-backed gangster Shehzad Bhatti.
The police have arrested both the accused and registered an FIR under crime number 90/26, sections 152, 61 (2) of BNS as well as 3/5 under the Official Secrets Act, 1923. Further legal action is being taken against the accused.
