Examination time is very important for every student, but this time it proved to be something different for thousands of students studying in the Middle East. Amidst the war-like situation, when many examinations were suddenly canceled, a big question arose before the students, how will their results be declared? Meanwhile, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has implemented a special system, which has provided relief to more than 13,500 class 10 students. Also, now many students are also preparing to give improvement exam to improve their marks.
Why did the exam status change?
The situation had suddenly changed in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and UAE. Due to security reasons, many examinations scheduled after March 2 had to be cancelled. However, the examinations held between February 17 and February 28 were completed. During this period, a total of 44 papers were conducted, which included main subjects like Mathematics, English, Science along with language and skill based subjects.
Now how will the result be made?
CBSE has adopted a new approach in view of the situation. The result of the students who have appeared in all the examinations will be based on their actual performance. But for those students who missed some examinations, a different method will be adopted. The marks of remaining subjects of such students will be decided on the basis of the average of the papers given by them.
For example, if a student has given three papers out of four, then the average of the best three subjects will be taken. Similarly, different formulas have been fixed for students appearing in two or three papers. CBSE has also made it clear that the results of Middle East students will be declared along with other students.

Improvement exam becomes new option
Amidst this whole situation, now the attention of the students is going towards improvement exam. CBSE has started a new system from 2026, in which students can appear for the exam for the second time to improve their marks.
How will the new system work?
According to reports, according to the new rules of CBSE, students can improve their marks in maximum three subjects. Only one of these can be a language subject. If students wish, they can choose two main subjects and one language or can appear in all three main subjects. After the results are declared, students will be given about five days time in which they will have to choose the subjects of their choice and deposit the required fees.
