Middle East Tensions: The situation is becoming increasingly serious due to the prolongation of the ongoing war in the Middle East. The demand for energy from India’s neighboring countries is also increasing. The Ministry of External Affairs told during the press briefing that many neighboring countries including Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives have requested for energy supply from India.

According to Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, India has been supplying diesel to Bangladesh through various transport modes since 2007. Even in the current situation, India will continue to help Bangladesh and other neighboring countries.

Neighboring countries asked for help

He also said that India has strongly criticized the recent attacks by Pakistan in Afghanistan as these attacks targeted civilian infrastructure and resulted in the loss of many innocent lives.

It is noteworthy that after the attacks by America and Israel on Iran, the scope of this conflict is continuously increasing. Initially, Israel targeted Iran’s oil infrastructure, in response to which Tehran has intensified attacks on the oil bases of Gulf countries.

Situation is worrying due to war

Even though US President Donald Trump had claimed that the war would end soon, looking at the current situation it is difficult to say when this tension will end. Iran has also rejected the initiative to end the war, which indicates that if this situation continues, the global crisis may deepen further.
