Today was a very special day for engineering students. After a long wait, the result of GATE 2026 has finally been released. Lakhs of candidates who appeared in this examination can now check their results by visiting the official portal.
This year, Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering i.e. GATE exam was organized on 7, 8, 14 and 15 February. Since the end of the examination, students were eagerly waiting for the result, which is now over.
How to see result on GOAPS portal
With the release of the result, the link has been activated for the candidates. Students can easily check their results through GOAPS portal. To see the result, candidates will have to enter their enrollment ID and password. After login, their score and other important information will appear on the screen. Candidates have been advised to download their result and keep a copy of it safely, so that there is no problem in the further process.
The final answer key had already been released
Before the release of the result, the final answer key was also released. Candidates were given an opportunity to match their answers and get an idea of their performance. This final answer key was released after examining the objections raised by the students. This means that now there will be no change in it and this will be considered final.

When will you get the scorecard?
After the result, the next important step is to download the scorecard. Candidates will be able to download their scorecard from 27th March. This scorecard is very important, because on the basis of it students get admission in postgraduate courses in big institutes of the country. Apart from this, many government companies i.e. PSU also recruit on the basis of this score.
Will be valid for three years
The score of GATE 2026 will remain in use for a long time. The score of the candidates will remain valid for three years. This means that students can apply to different institutions or look for job opportunities through this score for the coming three years.
How to download answer key
Candidates who still want to see the answer key can also download it easily. For this they will have to go to the official website and login into the GOAPS portal. After login, candidates can go to their dashboard and download the answer key and master question paper. With this they can understand their performance in a better way.
