Under the Chief Minister Entrepreneur Scheme 2026 of the state government, by providing financial assistance to the youth, they are being made job givers and not job seekers. The special thing is that the online application portal of this scheme is going to close soon, so those who have not been able to apply yet should hurry up. In this scheme of the government, financial assistance up to Rs 10 lakh is given, out of which half the amount i.e. Rs 5 lakh does not have to be returned. This is the reason why this scheme is becoming quite famous among the youth.

What is Chief Minister Entrepreneur Scheme?

Mukhyamantri Udyami Yojana is an important initiative of the Bihar government, whose objective is to promote self-employment in the state. Under this, the government provides financial assistance to the youth to start new industries or startups so that they can start their own business and provide employment to others as well.

The last date of application for this scheme has been made 25 March 2026. After this the portal will be closed and there will be no chance to apply again. Therefore, interested candidates should apply as soon as possible.

In which areas business can be started?

The government has now expanded the business options under this scheme to 78 different sectors. This means that you can start many types of industries or startups as per your interest and ability.

Who can apply?

Permanent residents of Bihar can take advantage of this scheme. This includes young men and women, Scheduled Castes (SC) and Tribes (ST), Extremely Backward Classes (EBC), people from the general category. For this scheme, age should be between 18 to 50 years and it is necessary to have at least Intermediate, ITI or Polytechnic pass. Under this scheme, maximum assistance up to Rs 10 lakh is given.

How much financial help will you get?

Under this scheme, the government provides financial assistance up to a maximum of Rs 10 lakh, out of which Rs 5 lakh is given as a grant which does not have to be returned, while the remaining Rs 5 lakh is given as a loan which has to be repaid in easy installments. The special thing is that women and SC/ST category beneficiaries get this loan completely interest free, whereas general and OBC category people have to pay a very low interest rate of only 1 percent. The government gives 7 years i.e. a total of 84 installments to repay the loan, due to which the financial burden on the beneficiaries is reduced and they can easily run their business.
