An incident has come to light from Khilchipur in Rajgarh district of Madhya Pradesh, which has shaken the religious sentiments of not just one temple but the entire area. Here Lord Jagannath temple suddenly became deserted, neither aarti, nor bells, nor darshan.
Threats, fear and helplessness became the reason, due to which the temple priests left the city overnight, taking the idols of God with them.

Ayodhya Ram Mandir: Flag changed on the peak of Shri Ram Temple, amazing combination of military technology and tradition
The temple opened in the morning, but God was not there.
On Friday morning, when the devotees reached the temple for worship as usual, they were shocked to see the sanctum sanctorum empty. The idols of Lord Jagannath, Balaram and Subhadra were not there.
This scene was so emotional that Dr. S., associated with the temple. Prasad sat there and cried bitterly. For the devotees, this was not just an incident but a breaking of faith.
The entire incident was captured in CCTV
The entire incident was clearly visible in the CCTV footage installed in the temple. Late at night priest Vishnu Das enters the temple. Do proper puja and salutation. After this, they switch off the lights and cameras of the temple, then leave safely taking the idols with them.
This was not a theft, but a helpless decision of a priest who was defeated by circumstances.
“I am helpless…” – Video of the priest surfaced
After the incident, priest Vishnu Das released a video, in which he clearly said that he was going not out of his own will but out of compulsion. He told that he was constantly being abused, threatened and even beaten.
The most serious thing is that he tried to complain to the police, but he did not get any support there either.
The temple became the center of faith
This temple was established in the year 2021 on the day of Ram Navami. The idols of Lord Jagannath, Balaram and Subhadra were specially brought from Puri and installed with due rituals.
Gradually this place became the center of faith of the local people where Aarti, Bhajan-Kirtan were organized daily and Rath Yatra was organized every year.
Five years of service, everything ended in one night
Priest Vishnu Das was serving here for the last five years. He lived in the temple premises itself and was engaged in the service of God with full devotion. But continuously increasing pressure and fear forced him to take this step.
Root of controversy: Gathering of anti-social elements
Some people used to gather around the temple to smoke ganja and get intoxicated. It is alleged that these people wanted to take over the temple land and for this reason were continuously threatening to remove the priest.
It was also seen in a video that a person was openly telling the priest, “We will sell ganja here, do whatever you want…” This was not just misbehavior, but an open challenge to target the religious place.
Questions raised on administration
Local people say that if action had been taken in time, this situation would not have happened. Despite the priest’s complaint, concrete steps were not taken, as a result of which the temple itself became vacant.
Faith vs fear: the big question
This incident is not just about one temple or one priest. This raises the question, is the security of religious places assured?
Would a priest have to run for his life and the safety of God?
Now everyone’s eyes are on one question
At present the temple is deserted, the devotees are disappointed and only one question is echoing in the entire area. Will God return again? Will the priest get a safe environment? Will strict action be taken against the culprits?
