The situation of increasing crowd is such that Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine has decided to postpone the Yatra of Vaishno Devi. In this regard, an official statement was also issued by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.

In this regard, the officials of the Shrine Board said in the statement issued that due to the huge crowd of devotees in Mata Vaishno Devi Cave and Bhawan on Saturday, March 21, 2026, the Yatra has been banned. However, this ban is temporary. According to the Shrine Board, till afternoon 39,000 devotees have visited Mata Vaishno Devi.

Yatra stopped due to crowd of devotees

According to Shrine Board officials, the Yatra has been stopped due to the increasing crowd of devotees at Mata Vaishno Devi Dham. The Shrine Board has expressed hope of the arrival of devotees from all over the country. “The yatra has been temporarily stopped due to the huge crowd at the building,” a shrine board official said. Let us tell you that this time Chaitra Navratri has started from 19th March and will end on 27th March.

The journey will resume from Sunday

According to the official statement, due to huge crowd during Navratri, the Yatra of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi was temporarily stopped. As soon as the number of pilgrims from Katra crosses 40,000 for the darshan of Mata Vaishno Devi, the journey has been banned. However, it has been clarified by the Shrine Board that the Yatra will be reopened around 4:00 am on Sunday morning. The board has clarified that this step has been taken keeping in mind the safety of the passengers. However, it is a matter of relief that the journey will be resumed from Sunday.
