Why Wawa Milk Products Were Recalled: A major step has been taken regarding some milk products of Wawa brand sold in four states of America. The US Food and Drug Administration has officially placed this recall in the “Class II” category, indicating that caution is necessary in the case even if the risk is not very serious. In fact, Wawa company had decided to remove these products from the market as a precautionary measure in mid-February itself. Now, after reviewing it, the FDA has given it a certain risk level. This recall is currently ongoing and no date for its completion has been announced.

How many types of milk were included?

The recall covers four 16-ounce cans of milk products, including Double Dutch Chocolate Milk, Chocolate Milk, Cookies & Cream Milk and 2 percent reduced fat milk. All these products were being sold in select stores in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland and were packed in plastic bottles. According to the company, during the production process, there was a possibility of small pieces of soft plastic in the filling line. Although the presence of such pieces in any product has not been confirmed so far, this step was taken keeping the safety of customers in mind.

The FDA’s Class II recall means that use of this product may cause temporary or mild health effects, but the likelihood of serious harm is considered low. Nevertheless, in such cases it is important for consumers to be cautious. If anyone has purchased these milk products, they have been advised not to consume them. It would be better to throw them away or get a refund through the company’s customer service. This step has been taken solely to ensure the safety of consumers.
