Iran has warned in the midst of war. He has said that if its energy and fuel related facilities are attacked then it will give a strong response. Iran has said that its response will not be limited to the military only, but it can also target important structures of America and its allied countries. According to Iran’s state media Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), this statement was given by Iran’s military headquarters spokesman Ebrahim Zolfaghari. He said that if Iran’s oil and gas infrastructure was attacked, the energy systems, IT systems and water treatment facilities of the US and its regional allies would be targeted in response.
This statement from Iran has come at a time when senior US Army officials are preparing for further action against Iran. According to media reports, the Pentagon has even discussed a plan to send ground troops to Iran, so that immediate action can be taken if needed. Donald Trump’s stand in this entire matter has also come to light. He said that right now he is not planning to send army to any place, but if he has to do so, he will not give information about it in advance.
White House Press Secretary’s statement
On the matter, White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt said that the army is prepared only so that the President has options to take decisions in every situation. This does not mean that any final decision has been taken. According to ANI reports, the US Army has started various preparations for possible situations. In this, the capture of Iranian people or fighters and where they will be kept has also been discussed. Besides, 82nd Airborne Division and Marine Force are also being kept ready. Thousands of American soldiers are already being sent to the Middle East. Recently, three ships carrying about 2200 marine soldiers have left California.
