IAF Wing Commander Road Rage Case: Police statement has come to light on the alleged attack on Indian Air Force wing commander Shiladitya Bose and his wife Squadron Leader Madhumita Das. A senior police officer from Bengaluru described it as a road rage case on Monday (April 21, 2025). Police say that such cases are common in Bengaluru.
DCP D. Devraj of East Bengaluru said, “This is not a matter related to any language or reason. It is very clear from the facts and evidence collected since morning. It is a clear case of road rage, which is very common in Bengaluru. They could postpone it both.”
‘People tried to stop the fight’
He further said, “When this dispute was happening, 6-7 youths tried to separate the two people and stop the fight. They tried their best to calm both. When the female officer Madhumita Das was driving, this boy was coming from the opposite direction. This was the root reason. Then the officer got off the car and both got into a fight. A boy, Vikas Kumar has been arrested.”
What is the matter?
In fact, a bike rider attacked the Indian Air Force wing commander near Gopalan Mall Bus Stop on Old Madras Road in Bayyappanhalli area at around 6.30 am on April 21, 2025. The incident happened when the incident happened in his car from DRDO Colony in Raman Nagar. Bose had to go to Kolkata to get his father hospitalized. There was a stir about this incident when Bose shared two videos on social media and these videos went viral.
Taking cognizance of the video, the jurisdictional Baippanhalli police registered a case and took prompt action and arrested a 20 -year -old bike rider, which has been identified as Vikas, a resident of Babusab Palya. The police have registered a case against the bike rider for hurting dangerous weapons or means (118 BNS).
