Amidst the news of Iran-America tension and war, a big news has come. Chinese Navy’s warship ‘The King’ has anchored at Karachi Port in Pakistan on Wednesday. Its pictures and videos are becoming increasingly viral on social media. This matter is being linked to Iran, but Pakistan Navy has made it clear that it has nothing to do with that war.
Why has the Chinese ship reached Pakistan?
This ship has come to take part in the joint maritime exercise between the navies of Pakistan and China. Pakistan Navy ships fully escorted it to the port and a formal welcome was also given there. Pakistani and Chinese flags were seen waving at the port, which shows the deep friendship between the two countries.
The name of this exercise is Sea Guardian-IV. It has started from March 25 and will continue till April 2. This is the fourth exercise of this series between the two countries. The first three exercises have also been done well. Its objective is to create better coordination between the two navies and further strengthen cooperation in matters of maritime security.
What will happen in China-Pakistan military exercises?
Many types of activities will take place during this military exercise. This includes discussions with experts at the port, seminars for young officers, gunnery firing, coordinated patrolling and other operations related to maritime security. Pakistan Navy has said that this exercise reflects the shared commitment of both the countries for regional peace and stability.
China is giving arms to Pakistan
The military relations between China and Pakistan have become very strong in the last several years. China is providing weapons and modern military technology to Pakistan. Pakistan’s Army, Air Force and Navy are getting Chinese equipment. Both countries regularly conduct joint exercises, which is proof of their long-standing friendship.
Although discussions started after ‘The King’ reached Karachi because Pakistan and Iran are neighbours, but Pakistani officials clearly said that this visit is part of a pre-planned exercise and is not related to the situation in Iran. At present, both the navies are working together to make the exercise a success.
