About ‘Happy Patel: Dangerous Spy’
The story of this spy-comedy film revolves around Happy Patel (Vir Das), a Gujarati youth living in London. Happy’s dream is to become a spy in the British Intelligence Agency (MI7), but due to his innocence and clumsiness, he fails the exam seven times.
The story takes a turn when he is sent to Goa, India for a special mission. There he has to rescue a British woman, Beatrice, who has been kidnapped. On reaching Goa, Happy encounters a dangerous lady don ‘Mama’. ‘Mama’ is a villain who is as big a gangster as he is an avid cook. The film has a mix of comedy and espionage along with action.
