Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday (28 March 2026) inaugurated the first phase of Noida International Airport located at Jewar in Gautam Buddha Nagar district. On this occasion he took a jibe at the Samajwadi Party. He said that earlier the SP people had made Noida an ATM of their loot, but today under the BJP government, the same Noida is becoming a powerful engine of development in UP. Apart from this, he said that airplanes will fly from Jewar Airport every two minutes. On the youth of the country, he said that he knows that the work that is being done is a work that will give a new lease of life to the future of the youth.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi further said that today we are starting a new chapter of the Developed UP, Developed India campaign. Today the whole world is worried, war has been going on in West Asia for a month. Due to war, there is a crisis in many countries regarding essential commodities like food items, petrol, diesel, gas, fertilizers etc. Every country is trying to face this crisis, and our India is also fighting it with full force. He is relying on the strength of the countrymen. During the program of Prime Minister Modi, inspected the terminal building of Noida International Airport located in Jewar in Gautam Buddha Nagar. During this time, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath was also present.

Airports allow progress to flow – Modi

During the program, PM Modi said that airport is not just a common facility in any country. Airports also give flight to progress. Before 2014, there were only 74 airports in the country. Today there are more than 160 airports. Now air connectivity is reaching not only big cities but also small towns of the country.
