Nisha received the degree of B.Sc Nursing (2006–2010) from AIIMS College of Nursing, New Delhi. After doing B.Sc Nursing, Nisha did post graduation in Nursing from Gwalior University, Madhya Pradesh. She took admission in Post Graduate College of Nursing, Cancer Hospital and Research Institute and completed MSc (Obs & Gynae) in 2017. After post graduation, Nisha returned to Nepal and joined B.P. Worked as a nurse in Koirala Institute of Health Sciences for about 3 years. Later she worked as a nurse and associate professor at Birat Teaching Hospital, Biratnagar.
Nisha Mehta’s political journey
Nisha Mehta was born on 7 August 1987 in Inaruwa, Sunsari district of Kosi province. She contested for the House of Representatives from Rashtriya Swatantra Party in the 2026 general elections and was elected under the Madhesi Mahila Group. Today she is holding the responsibility of Minister of Health, Population and Water Supply in the Government of Nepal.
