Top Companies Market Cap Loss: Last week, the impact of weakness in the stock market was clearly visible, where the total market value of 7 out of the top-10 most valuable companies decreased by about Rs 1.75 lakh crore. Reliance Industries suffered the biggest loss in this. During this period, BSE Sensex fell by 949.74 points or 1.27 percent, while NSE Nifty also fell by 294.9 points.
Weakness of rupee and increasing instability are being considered as the main reasons behind the decline in the market. Which companies were most affected?
Reliance Industries suffered the most loss due to last week’s fall and its market cap decreased by about Rs 89,720.3 crore to Rs 18,24,515.62 crore. Apart from this, the market cap of HDFC Bank fell by Rs 37,248.59 crore to Rs 11,64,018.69 crore and that of State Bank of India fell by Rs 35,399.42 crore to Rs 9,41,569.15 crore.
Whereas the market cap of ICICI Bank decreased by Rs 8,121.76 crore and it reached Rs 8,83,551.30 crore. The market cap of Bharti Airtel declined by Rs 2,480.42 crore to Rs 10,50,413.33 crore and that of Hindustan Unilever fell by Rs 2,091.13 crore to Rs 4,87,540.19 crore. Whereas TCS has suffered less loss in comparison. The market cap of TCS has declined by Rs 271.35 crore to reach Rs 8,64,668.65 crore.
List of top companies in valuation
Last week, Reliance Industries remained at the first position as the most valuable company of the country. This was followed by HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, State Bank of India and ICICI Bank.
TCS, Bajaj Finance, Infosys, Larsen & Toubro and Hindustan Unilever were also included in the list of top companies. Who have maintained their position on the basis of valuation.
