Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) released the final result of PCS 2024 from Prayagraj late on Sunday (29 March). Commission Secretary Ashok Kumar announced this result officially. Selection was to be made for a total of 947 posts in this examination, but 932 candidates have been declared successful. At present 15 posts remain vacant.

The success of girls in this year’s examination has attracted everyone’s attention. Six girls are included in the top 10. Neha Panchal created history by securing first position in the entire state while Ananya Trivedi from Uttar Pradesh stood second. Abhay Pratap Singh got the third place. Anamika Mishra is at fourth place, Neha Singh is at fifth, Deepti Verma is at sixth and Pooja Tiwari is at seventh. Anurag Pandey was at eighth place, Shubham Singh was at ninth place and Ayush Pandey was at tenth place. The total successful candidates include 319 women and 613 men. Of these, 272 OBC, 186 SC and 22 ST candidates have been successful.
What is PCS exam?
UP PCS i.e. Uttar Pradesh Provincial Civil Services Examination is considered to be the biggest and prestigious examination of the state. Through this, officers are recruited on important posts in various departments of the state government. A total of 24 types of posts and services are included in this examination. These include Deputy Collector, Deputy SP, Block Development Officer (BDO), Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Treasury Officer and many other posts. These posts play an important role in strengthening the administration of the state.

The first preliminary examination was held in PCS 2024, in which thousands of candidates appeared. After this, the main examination was organized, the result of which was declared on 4 February 2026. In that, 2719 candidates were successful in the interview. Interviews were held from 16 February 2026 to 20 March 2026. In these interviews, the Commission tested the personality, knowledge and problem solving ability of the candidates. Finally, the final merit list was prepared on the basis of total marks of Mains and Interview.
