Amidst the ongoing conflict and tension in the Middle East, Iran made a big claim on Monday (March 30, 2026) saying that America has shot down a ship carrying relief and humanitarian material for Iran. This plane was going to India’s capital New Delhi to bring humanitarian aid material.
According to news agency ANI, Iranian government sources claim that America damaged a Mahan Air plane by carrying out an airstrike on Mashhad Airport in Razavi Khorasan province. This plane going to Delhi had more than 11 tons of humanitarian medicines for war victims.
Iran has called it a direct attack on aid. However, this claim has not yet been confirmed by international agencies or global media.
Mahan airline supports IRGC
Mahan Air is an Iranian airline company. This Iranian airline company has already been banned by the United States and the European Union (EU), because this airline company openly supports Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
According to the report, this aircraft was scheduled to reach New Delhi in the coming days to carry humanitarian aid material, which also included medicines. This was the second consignment sent by India as humanitarian aid to Iran. India had sent the first consignment of humanitarian aid to Tehran in the beginning of March through the Iranian Red Crescent Society.
Iran expressed gratitude to those who supported during the war
Iran has recently expressed gratitude to those who supported it amid the war with America and Israel. Iran thanked those who supported it over the missiles fired on Israel. The countries towards which Tehran expressed its gratitude included India, Pakistan and Germany.
In fact, people of the Muslim community living in Kashmir, India, had donated more than Rs 500 crore, including cash, gold and silver jewellery, brass and copper utensils, land, cars and bikes, to Iran as help amid the ongoing war with Israel and America.
