UP scholarship 2025-26: There is news of great relief for thousands of students who were deprived of scholarship in Uttar Pradesh. The Social Welfare Department has once again opened the portal of Scholarship and Fee Reimbursement Scheme for the academic session 2025-26. Its purpose is to give an opportunity to those students who were not able to apply earlier due to technical or other reasons.
The government says that through this decision it will be ensured that no eligible student is deprived of the benefits of the scheme just because of the process or technical problem. When the portal reopens, such students will be able to apply again and get financial assistance.
Which students will get the benefit of the scheme?
Students of General Category, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Transgender community will get the benefit of this scheme. The government’s focus is especially on those students who are financially weak and are facing difficulties in continuing their studies.

Last time so many students got the benefit
According to the Social Welfare Department, in the last financial year 2024-25 also, the portal for this scheme was re-opened like this time. During that period, a total scholarship and fee reimbursement of Rs 81.12 crore was given to 53,041 students. Of these, 25,395 SC students got assistance of Rs 30.65 crore and 27,640 general category students got assistance of Rs 50.47 crore. Regarding this, State Minister of State for Social Welfare Aseem Arun said that the state government under the leadership of Yogi Adityanath is continuously working to ensure equal opportunities in the field of education. He said that the aim of the government is that no student should leave his studies midway due to financial reasons and the benefits of education should reach every needy.

How to apply?
- To apply during the second chance, students should visit the official portal scholarship.up.gov.in.
- After this, register and login.
- Now enter your educational information and fill personal details.
- After this upload the documents required for the scheme.
- After uploading the documents, check all the details again and submit the form.
- After this, print a hard copy of the application and submit it to your institute.
