An incident that puts humanity to shame has come to light from Una district of Himachal Pradesh. In Bahdala village of the district, on the suspicion of plucking just one guava, a retired soldier tied an innocent 6-year-old girl to the railing of the stairs with a chain and rope. Luckily, a Navy captain passing by heard the girl’s screams and freed her from this inhuman torture.

According to the information received, on Sunday (April 05), Captain Rohit Jaswal of the Indian Navy was passing through the road. Then they heard the sound of a little girl crying from inside a house and shouting “Uncle save, uncle save”. When he went inside and saw, he was shocked. A frightened 6-year-old girl was tied to the railing of the stairs with the help of clothes and a chain and was begging for help.

‘Taliban’ punishment given for guava

When Captain Rohit asked the landlord (retired army man) the reason for tying and torturing the girl in this way, he coldly replied that the girl had plucked guavas from his tree. Seeing this condemnable and cruel behaviour, Captain Rohit immediately started making videos on his mobile. He severely reprimanded the retired soldier and asked him to immediately release the girl. When Rohit asked the girl, the innocent girl clearly denied that she had plucked the guava.

Child helpline took cognizance, huge anger among people

This painful video of the girl tied to the railing is now going viral on social media. Watching the video, everyone is expressing surprise and deep displeasure at this cruel mentality of a former soldier. Considering the sensitivity of the matter, the team of ‘Child Helpline’ has immediately taken cognizance and further legal action has been initiated against the accused retired soldier. People are demanding the harshest punishment against the accused.
