Politics is in full swing regarding the upcoming assembly elections in West Bengal. All political parties are continuously accusing each other to attract voters in their favor. Meanwhile, the political atmosphere of Bengal is also heated over the election manifesto released in Urdu by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s party Trinamool Congress (TMC), on which AIMIM chief and Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi has now launched a scathing attack.
What did AIMIM Chief say about Mamata Banerjee?
Lok Sabha MP from Hyderabad and AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi, while talking to the media on this matter in Bihar capital Patna, said that Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has a double character regarding Muslims. He said that last year the Calcutta High Court had canceled 5 lakh backward certificates of the state, which were issued by the Mamata government. Out of those five lakh backward certificates, three lakh certificates belonged to Muslims. On which there is no discussion yet.

Muslims of Malda-Murshidabad are very poor: Owaisi
Asaduddin Owaisi said, ‘What will Mamata Banerjee do by publishing her election agenda in Urdu? Muslims constitute 29 percent of the total population of West Bengal, yet the number of Muslims in government jobs in the state is only 7 percent. The largest number of school dropouts in Bengal are Muslims. The literacy rate of girls is very low. If we look at the Muslims living in Malda and Murshidabad districts of Bengal, the people living there are poorer than other parts of the state.
Union Minister Giriraj Singh targeted TMC
Earlier, Union Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Giriraj Singh had also made sharp remarks on Trinamool Congress releasing its manifesto in Urdu language. He had said that Trinamool Congress (TMC) and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee have been doing linguistic and appeasement politics in West Bengal, but now the people of Bengal have seen their real face. This time in the assembly elections, the people of West Bengal will unite and give a reply to their appeasement politics by changing the government.
