America’s famous economist and staunch critic of Donald Trump, Professor Jeffrey Sachs has given a big statement regarding India. In an interview he said that India can play the role of a peacemaker in the Iran war. Apart from this, he also said that India has the chairmanship of BRICS, in such a situation BRICS and India together can remove the illusion of America.

Speaking in British journalist Afshin Rattansi’s program New Order with Afshin Rattansi, Professor Jeffrey Sachs said that India definitely has the stature, the power and the dignity to say no to America’s illusions. He said, “In terms of population, India is four times larger than America and in terms of its civilizational history, it is 10 times or even older than that. In such a situation, India can clearly tell America to stop its misbehavior.
What was said about BRICS
He further said that my suggestion is that India should not do this work alone but collectively. Do it together with Russia, China, Brazil and other member countries of BRICS. I am saying this for some special reasons. First reason- This year India has the chairmanship of BRICS. I consider BRICS very important, influential and beneficial for the whole world. It is a strong foundation of global stability. Half the world’s population, half the world’s GDP and many major countries are its members.
Jeffrey Sachs said that we are not living in a world run by America. We are not in a world where America can threaten to push any other country into the Stone Age. We are citizens of a civilized world, based on international laws and the Charter of the United Nations. Therefore, the chairmanship of BRICS provides a special opportunity for India to play this role.
He further said that talking to or dealing with Trump is not a pleasant experience. I don’t have even the slightest doubt about this. Therefore, it would be better if this work is done in collaboration with our allied countries. I see India, China and Russia not just as co-members of BRICS, but as allies of each other.
