Babar Azam PSL 2026: Babar Azam, who is usually criticized for his strike rate, is wreaking havoc in PSL 2026. Has scored 212 runs in 4 innings and is playing at a strike rate of around 136. The one who hit him with a sharp bouncer is none other than Ubaid Shah, brother of Pakistani fast bowler Naseem Shah.

Babar Azam is playing for Peshawar Zalmi in Pakistan Super League. In the PSL 2026 tournament, Peshawar Zalmi’s match took place with Lahore Qalandars on 11 April. In this match, Zalmi’s team scored 173 runs in 20 overs. Babar contributed 43 runs.

Ubaid Shah hit the bouncer

In this match, the first collision between Babar Azam and Ubaid Shah took place in the fourth over. Babar had hit a four on Shah’s first ball. After that Ubaid came to bowl the sixth over of the innings. Shah hit a sharp bouncer on the very first ball of the over. Babar wanted to play a pull shot, but missed the ball completely. Actually, Ubaid Shah had moved his fingers while throwing the ball, so Babar could not hit the ball and it went straight to Babar’s neck.

Babar immediately sat on the ground after being hit by the ball on his neck. The speed of the ball was 125.7 km per hour, but the neck is a sensitive part of the body. Players of Lahore team also immediately came forward to know the condition of Babar, while the physio came on the field and examined Babar. The good thing was that Babar did not suffer any serious injury and he continued batting further. He scored 43 runs in 40 balls.
