On Monday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was visiting Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, where there was a joint rally of Rashtriya Lok Dal along with announcements of many schemes. But the situation became dire when Lok Dal MLA Ghulam Mohammad from Meerut’s Siwal Khas assembly seat was stopped from entering the rally venue. The policemen stopped him saying that his name was neither for the stage nor for the stage below. After which the MLAs returned.
This video of SSP Muzaffarnagar Sanjay Verma and MLA Ghulam Mohammad is also viral on social media. However, later when the local officials present on the stage came to know about this matter, they called MLA Ghulam Mohammad on the stage and the matter was calmed down.
MLA said misunderstanding
While reacting to this entire incident, MLA Ghulam Mohammad called it just a ‘misunderstanding’. He said that he thought that his name would be included in the list because the Chief Minister and the National President of the party were attending the programme. He also told that he had not given prior notice of his arrival, due to which this situation arose.
According to the MLA, when he asked officials to confirm, he was shown the list in which his name was not there. After this he himself started returning from there. He clarified that he did not have any resentment regarding this incident and it was only a situation of mutual confusion.

The matter of stopping the ruling coalition MLA from the Chief Minister’s meeting is now being discussed in the political circles. The opposition party, especially SP, is taunting that this is the behavior of BJP with its alliance partners. At present, this controversy should have ended after the statement of the MLA himself.
