India’s three major oil marketing companies (OMCs)—Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL)—revise fuel prices every day in line with changes in global crude oil prices and foreign currency exchange rates, which have remained stable in recent times.

How are the prices of petrol and diesel decided?
Global crude oil prices have increased rapidly in recent times amid the war between Iran, Israel and America.
