Middle East Conflict: Iran has opened the Strait of Hormuz. The decision to open this waterway till the ceasefire has been taken by the Government of Iran. Foreign Minister Araghchi has announced this. He wrote on X that due to the ceasefire in force in Lebanon, the traffic of all ships from Hormuz is completely opened for the remaining period of the ceasefire.

Also, after the war, Iran had blockaded this route, due to which the economy of the entire world was deeply affected. Also the supply of oil and gas was affected. Due to which the energy crisis in the world had increased. Now this decision has given relief for the time being.

What has Iran’s Foreign Minister said while making the announcement?

Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi announced that the Strait of Hormuz, in line with the ceasefire in Lebanon, has been declared fully open to all commercial vessels for the remaining period of the ceasefire. This route is located on the same coordinated route, which has been announced earlier by the Ports and Maritime Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran. A senior IRGC military official said that only non-military ships can pass through the Strait of Hormuz through designated routes and with the approval of the IRGC Navy. Civilian ships will have to follow the routes decided by Iran’s port and maritime organization.

At the same time, after Iran’s announcement, Trump has expressed gratitude to Iran for opening the Strait of Hormuz. Actually, he made a post related to this on social media Truth. Ceasefire comes into force between Lebanon and Israel
Earlier it was reported that amid increasing tension between Israel and Lebanon, a 10-day ceasefire finally came into effect between the two countries on Friday. This ceasefire was already announced by US President Donald Trump. The purpose of this step is to stop the violent conflict that has been going on for the last one month, in which more than 2,000 people have lost their lives. As soon as the ceasefire came into force, the international community welcomed it and appealed to all parties to maintain peace.

Stephane Dujarric, chief spokesman for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, said that we welcome all steps that help end violence and suffering on both sides of the ‘Blue Line’. He also appealed to the parties concerned to fully comply with this ceasefire.
