PAK Squad For BAN 2 Test: A big change has been seen in Pakistan cricket. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) handed over the responsibility of head coach to the player who had retired from international cricket only last month. Apart from this, 4 new players were also included in the team. So let us know what this whole coup is.

Actually, PCB announced the squad on Saturday (April 18) for the 2-match Test series against Bangladesh next month, in which 4 uncapped players were included. For this series, Pakistan has assigned the role of head coach to former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed.

It is worth noting that Sarfaraz had announced his retirement from international cricket last month on March 15 (2026). Now after about a month of retirement, Sarfaraz was made the head coach. In the coaching staff, Asad Shafiq will be seen as batting coach and Umar Gul as bowling coach. Shafiq is already a part of both the men’s and women’s selection committees. On the other hand, Gul has played the role of bowling coach for Pakistan’s white ball team.

Entry of 4 new players in the team for the series

Four uncapped players have been included in the squad for the Test series. This list includes Abdullah Fazal, Ajaan Awais, Ghazi Ghori and Amad Butt. Abdullah Shafiq, Asif Ali, Abrar Ahmed, Kamran Ghulam and Rohail Nazir have been dropped from the team. Mohammad Abbas has returned to the team. Shan Masood will captain the series.

The first match of the two-match Test series to be held in May will be played from 8 to 12 May at Shere Bangla National Stadium. The second Test will be played at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium from 16 to 20 May.

Shan Masood (captain), Abdullah Fazal, Amad Butt, Azaan Awais, Babar Azam, Hasan Ali, Imam-ul-Haq, Khurram Shahzad, Mohammad Abbas, Mohammad Rizwan, Ghazi Ghori, Noman Ali, Sajid Khan, Salman Ali Aga, Saud Shakeel and Shaheen Shah Afridi.
