Canada cricket team captain Dilpreet Singh Bajwa has been facing serious allegations of being linked to gangster Lawrence. Indian-origin Dilpreet Singh Bajwa was made the captain just 3 weeks before the T20 World Cup 2026. In a report released on April 17, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation claimed that an organized gang was pressurizing Bajwa to make him the captain. It is also said that some players were also threatened, due to which pressure was put on the team management and Bajwa was given the captaincy.
The report claims that corruption and illegal activities are increasing in the Canadian cricket team. After winning a tournament in 2025, some players threatened the key players of the team to make Bajwa the captain. After this the player withdrew himself from the tournament and cited the reason behind this as a threat to his safety.
