LPG Booking Increased: There is currently no improvement in the situation between US and Iran, which is affecting the supply of gas and petrol and diesel around the world. Meanwhile, the government has now revealed that there has been an increase in online bookings of LPG gas cylinders. Domestic LPG gas is being given priority and its delivery has also been increased to 99 percent on the basis of industry.
DAC based deliveries increased
Recently it has been told by the government that deliveries based on Delivery Authentication Code (DAC) have increased. With this the delivery of cylinders has increased by about 92 percent. The Petroleum Ministry said, ‘Many LPG distributors are working even on Sunday so that there is no shortage of domestic LPG cylinders.’ He also said that the total commercial LPG allocation has also been increased to about 70 percent of the pre-crisis levels, which includes 10 percent reform-related allocation.
Commercial Cylinder Status
The ministry also informed that, from March 23, 2026 till now, more than 18.45 lakh 5 kg free trade LPG cylinders have been sold. A three-member committee of executive directors of IOCL, HPCN and BPCL is engaged in talks with state officials and industry people to chalk out a plan for commercial LPG distribution in the states and union territories. In the last 5 days, on an average, more than 7 thousand metric tons of commercial LPG has been sold every day.
People are also getting PNG connections done
Apart from this, it has also been said in the government data that, from March 2026 till now, more than 4.93 lakh PNG connections have been gasified. Also, more than 5.51 lakh consumers have registered for new connections. As of April 19, around 39,200 PNG consumers have surrendered their LPG connections through the MYPNGD.in website.
