A horrific accident took place on Wednesday (April 22) near Veerkshetra in Kaprada taluka of Valsad district of Gujarat, where 7 people traveling in a pickup vehicle overturned and died tragically. While more than 15 people were injured, some of whom suffered serious and some minor injuries.
12 people are in critical condition
The family was returning to their village from ‘Aanu’ (social/family function) when the accident occurred. This accident spread sensation in the entire area as family and relatives became victims. As soon as information about the incident was received, 108 ambulances and police team reached the spot and the injured were sent to the hospital for treatment. Since the condition of 12 injured in the accident was critical, they were immediately referred to Valsad Civil Hospital for treatment.

Due to this the accident happened
This accident occurred due to the driver losing control of the steering on the sloping road, due to which the pickup vehicle overturned. According to the information received, the victims of the accident were residents of Girnara village, who had gone to the Kolvera ‘Aanu’ program and the incident occurred while returning from there.
Investigation into the incident started
The driver’s negligence is being considered the reason behind this accident. Besides, allegations are also being made that the driver was drunk. Kaprada Police has started necessary action and investigation in this matter.
