I have just received information that the eight female protesters who were scheduled to be hanged tonight in Iran will not be hanged. Four will be released immediately and four will be sentenced to one month in jail. I am very grateful to Iran and its leaders that as President of the United States, they honored my appeal and canceled the execution. Thank you for your attention to this matter!’
Trump made several posts on Truth Social on Tuesday, which included photos of eight women who, according to viral posts, were going to be punished by Tehran. While sharing a post, Trump had appealed that they should be released and also that this would be the perfect start to the talks. On Tuesday, Trump wrote in the post, ‘I would be very happy if you release these women. I am sure you will. If you do this, your respect will increase in their eyes. Please do not cause any harm to them. This will be a great start to our conversation.

The viral post shared by the US President contained pictures of eight girls. It included Bita Hemmati, Ghazal Galandari, Golnaz Naraghi, Venus Hussein Nejad, Panah Movahedi, Ensieh Nejati, Mahboubeh Shabani and Diana Taher Abadi. Hemmati is believed to be the first female protester (January Uprising) in Iran to be ordered to die.

According to Iran’s National Council of Resistance, he is accused of inciting the January uprising against the Iranian regime in Tehran.
