US Iran War: US President Donald Trump has given a big order amid the ongoing suspense over the possible second round of talks with Iran and increasing tension in the Strait of Hormuz. He has instructed the US Navy that if any boat tries to lay mines in the waters of Hormuz, it should be immediately destroyed. Trump said that at present Hormuz is completely occupied by America and this blockade will continue.

Trump’s new order on Hormuz

This order of the US President has come at a time when tension between America and Iran is at its peak and concerns about the security of sea routes have increased. The Strait of Hormuz is extremely important for global oil supply, so any kind of military activity here can have an impact on the international market and regional stability.

On the other hand, Pakistan’s Home Minister Mohsin Naqvi US Deputy Ambassador on Thursday Natalie Baker Met in Islamabad to discuss the ongoing diplomatic efforts regarding the second round of US-Iran talks. This meeting took place at a time when diplomatic efforts have been intensified to bring the two countries to the negotiating table as soon as possible.

US’s rapid diplomatic efforts

According to the statement of Pakistan Home Ministry, both the leaders reviewed the regional situation and considered in detail the options to take forward the proposed peace talks. During the meeting, Naqvi welcomed the initiative taken by President Donald Trump to extend the ceasefire and called it a positive step towards reducing tension.

He expressed hope that a similar constructive response would be received from Iran. Both sides stressed on continuing diplomatic dialogue for lasting peace in West Asia. Naqvi also said that Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Army Chief Asim Munir Efforts are being made at every level for a peaceful solution. This was their second meeting this week amid uncertainty over the talks, while tight security arrangements have also been made in Islamabad for possible talks.
