Bangladesh has given a big blow to Pakistan. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has suddenly canceled the NOC of fast bowlers Mustafizur Rahman and Nahid Rana. This means that both Mustafizur and Nahid will not be able to play in the remaining matches of PSL 2026. BCB has canceled the no objection certificate of both the players citing medical reasons.

Mustafizur Rahman and Nahid Rana had left PSL 2026 midway and returned to their country due to participating in the ODI series against New Zealand. According to a report by Cricbuzz, BCB had given permission to Mustafizur to play in PSL 2026 from March 26 to April 12 and April 24-May 3. He was going to participate only in the ODI series against New Zealand. Meanwhile, due to injury, Mustafizur could not play the first 2 ODI matches. In the third and decisive ODI match, he made a comeback and took 5 wickets.

BCB reversed course

Bangladesh Cricket Board has hit back, as it has clearly said that it will not release Mustafizur Rahman for the remaining matches of PSL 2026. Let us tell you that Mustafizur was playing for Lahore Qalandars in PSL 2026.

BCB issued an official statement saying that after the third ODI, the medical team assessed the fitness of Mustafizur Rahman, after which it was decided that he would be immediately sent for scanning. After that his rehabilitation process will start. For this reason, BCB has decided to cancel his NOC and the board also made it clear that Rahman will not play in the remaining matches of PSL 2026.

The board has also refused to release Nahid Rana. Citing the preparation for the Test series against Pakistan, BCB has also decided to cancel Naheed’s NOC. Let us tell you that the three-match T20 series between Bangladesh and New Zealand is starting from 27th April.
