In view of this, the Government of Pakistan has decided that it is going to buy LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) by paying higher prices from the international spot market.

What is the whole matter?
Actually, Pakistan’s government company Pakistan LNG Ltd has issued a rare tender for the purchase of LNG. The company has demanded three LNG cargoes for delivery from the last week of April to mid-May. This information has been given in a document released on the company’s website. According to this issued notice, suppliers have been asked to submit their offers by Friday. It is believed that this step has been taken in view of the increasing shortage of gas, so that it can be supplied on time.

In view of this crisis and the problems of the people, the Government of Pakistan has taken this decision and has planned to buy expensive fuel.

Bought LNG from Qatar last year
Pakistan, which bought most of its LNG from Qatar last year, has not received any new shipments since the beginning of March. This situation arose when tension started between America-Israel-Iran and Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz. During this time, Qatar also had to close its largest LNG export plant because it was attacked by Iran. Due to this, Qatar had to cancel the supply of gas to its customers.
