AI avatars of Gandhi and Vajpayee will soon come alive in the Prime Minister’s Museum in Delhi. Visitors to Delhi’s Prime Minister’s Museum will soon be able to interact with AI-generated hyper-realistic 3D avatars of Mahatma Gandhi and Atal Bihari Vajpayee, combining an immersive experience of history with cutting-edge technology.
The project to bring both the leaders in AI avatar is in the final stages. Let us tell you that in September last year a similar initiative was started from the place of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Now this step has been taken after receiving excellent response from the people after the launch of the first AI exhibition.

What did the director of PM Museum say?
Prime Minister Museum Director Ashwani Lohani told PTI that we are working on extensive use of AI in the museum to improve the visitor experience. We started with the life-size AI-powered holobox of Sardar Patel, and then the holobox of former President APJ Abdul Kalam. Soon, we will bring similar avatars of Gandhiji and Atalji also.
On the current status of this project, he said that it is in the final stage. Leaders’ Avatar is expected to be launched at the end of May this year. Let us tell you that the Prime Minister’s Museum has completed four years on 14th April. Every day 1400-1500 people come to visit this museum.

On completion of four years of the museum, Director Lohani said that this journey has been wonderful. PMML is one of the unique museums in the world. Now a lot of tourists come here. We are increasing the use of technology. He said that this museum protects the concept of democracy, which is its basic theme.
On the figures, he said that more than 64 lakh people visited the museum in the year 2025-26. This shows its increasing popularity. To improve the visitor experience, we are also looking at using AI to improve accessibility in the museum.
He told that we are working with the startups participating in the AI summit organized in Delhi. This project explores the possibilities of using smart glasses equipped and connected to AI based technology.
