PNB Digital Credit Card Launch: Punjab National Bank (PNB) has signed an agreement with fintech company Kiwi to make digital payments easier for its about 18 crore customers. Kiwi is known as a credit-on-UPI platform. The aim of this initiative is to provide credit facility to the customers also through UPI. So that the method of payment can become more convenient for the customers.
Under this, the bank will launch PNB Kiwi Credit Card on RuPay network. Through this, customers will be able to make payments through UPI even if they do not have bank balance. Let us know about this.
Easy to use, plus cashback
This card will be completely digital and will be easily connected to UPI. Due to which payment will become much easier. Along with this, 0.5 to 1.5 percent cashback will also be available on online transactions. That means users will get the benefit of cashback along with convenience.
fee free digital card
This card will be issued completely digitally. That means customers will be able to apply for it online while sitting at home. There is not much paperwork to apply. Due to which the process will become easier and faster.
The most important thing is that there will be neither any joining fee nor any annual fee on this card. Due to which it becomes more convenient for the common people.
Preparation to increase access to rural areas
Bibhu Prasad Mahapatra, Executive Director of Punjab National Bank, says that digital payments are increasing rapidly in the country. UPI is playing an important role in this. He told that the bank has a strong network of more than 10,000 branches across the country. Of which about 60 percent are in semi-urban and rural areas. Through this network, the bank is trying to provide formal credit facility to those people who have been away from it till now.
