Gold-Silver Price Today: This week there was a decline in the prices of 24 carat, 22 carat and 18 carat gold in the country. Investors exercised caution due to peace talks between Iran and America, strengthening of the US dollar and rising crude oil prices. Due to this, a limited decline was recorded in prices on a weekly basis. However, on May 3, i.e. the last day of the week, there was a slight improvement in prices.

Due to price fluctuations

  • The ongoing discussions between Iran and America kept gold as a safe investment option globally, which did not cause a huge fall in prices.
  • The rise in crude oil has increased concerns about inflation. Due to this, expectations of interest rate cut by the US Federal Reserve (US Fed) have reduced, due to which the price of gold has fallen.
  • In view of the demand during the wedding season in India, gold prices recorded stability and a slight rise over the weekend.
