President Donald Trump’s overall popularity in America has dropped to 37 percent and 66 percent of American citizens are not satisfied with his economic policies. This information has come to light in a survey.
This survey is being considered very important before the elections to be held in November during the four-year term of the President in America. According to a survey conducted by ‘Washington Post-ABC News-Ipsos’, Trump has got relatively better support on the issue of immigration. His policies on the US-Mexico border were approved by 45 percent people, while 54 percent disagreed.
A large number of Americans in the survey said they do not trust any political party on major issues. 23 percent people did not trust any party on immigration, 27 percent on economy, 28 percent on crime and 33 percent on inflation.
About 51 percent of the American people expressed confidence in neither the Republican nor the Democratic Party on the issue of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Tensions with Iran have affected Trump’s confidence on economic issues, which was key to his return to the presidency for a second term in 2024.
Among American citizens, 66 percent disapproved of his handling of Iran, while 33 percent supported. His rating on the economy has fallen by seven points to 34 percent, while the impact of the increase in fuel prices was also seen.
His approval rating on the issue of inflation dropped five points to 27 percent, while his rating on cost of living was the lowest at 23 percent, with 76 percent disapproving. According to the ‘Washington Post’, ‘Trump’s overall approval rating is now 37 percent, up from 39 percent in February, but disapproval has increased to 62 percent, the highest in both his terms.’ However, Trump’s popularity remains strong among Republican Party supporters, where he has 85 percent support.
