What did Bangladesh officials say about Shubhendu Adhikari?
BNP Information Secretary Azizul Bari Helal further said that this victory of BJP under the leadership of Subhendu Adhikari will keep the relations between the Government of West Bengal and Bangladesh as cordial as before. I hope that peaceful relations will be established between India and Bangladesh.
Mamata Banerjee was the only obstacle in the construction of Teesta Dam – Azizul
He also said, “Earlier we saw that Mamata Banerjee was the only obstacle in the construction of Teesta Dam. Now in my opinion, since BJP has won the elections under the leadership of Shubhendu, the Teesta Dam Agreement can be completed by Bangladesh Government and Modi Government together through Shubhendu Adhikari.”
Azizul Bari Helal further said that we have good relations and ideologically we differ, but on some issues we are united to a great extent, such as Teesta Dam and normal relations between Bangladesh and India. I have full hope that relations between the two countries will be better than before.
