The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Saturday arrested Sanjeev Arora, one of the influential cabinet ministers of the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government, from his official residence in Sector-2 here. Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha’s reaction has come to light on the arrest of Sanjeev Arora.
Raghav Chadha said on the ED raid on Punjab Minister Sanjeev Arora that by showing the dream of making Punjab ‘Rangla’, Aam Aadmi Party has made the treasury of Punjab pauper. The people of Punjab had given majority to AAP with high expectations to run the government but this majority was not to loot Punjab.

This is a big betrayal of the majority – Raghav Chadha
Raghav Chadha further said that this is a big betrayal of the majority of the people of Punjab. AAP is completely trapped in the hands of corrupt people. When we tried to raise these issues within the party, we were silenced.
He further said that this is the biggest fraud on the people of Punjab, the biggest loot. Agencies will definitely take action in this, but the real action will be taken by the people of Punjab. This action was taken after the ED conducted a massive search operation at the residences and offices of Sanjeev Arora under the PMLA of 2002.
What did Bhagwant Mann say on the raid?
Reacting to the raid, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann accused BJP of misusing central agencies. While posting on X, he wrote that today once again BJP’s ED has reached Sanjeev Arora’s house. This is the third time in a year and second time in the last one month, yet they did not get anything.
He further wrote that I want to tell Modi ji that Punjab is the land of gurus, whom even Aurangzeb could not bow down. This is the land of Bhagat Singh, who never bowed his head before the British. Therefore, Punjab will never bow down to the tricks of PM Modi.
Raid on 4 locations of Sanjeev Arora
Since Saturday morning, ED has been raiding four locations linked to Sanjeev Arora and this is the third raid in a year. In April also, ED had raided Arora’s premises for the second time. According to officials, the search operation was conducted in Chandigarh and Delhi-NCR region. The premises which were searched included the government residence allotted to Arora as a cabinet minister in Chandigarh.
‘Bengal should not become Manipur…’, said Congress leader Udit Raj on the swearing in of Shubhendu Adhikari.
