Bharatiya Janata Party has indirectly supported Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam leader and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin. BJP spokesperson, while reacting to Stalin’s statement after the state’s newly appointed Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay claimed that the treasury of Tamil Nadu is empty, has said that technically the treasury of the state can never be empty.
Bharatiya Janata Party’s Jharkhand unit spokesperson Pratul Shahdev said that before the elections, CM Vijay had made many big promises. He had talked about giving gold, financial help for weddings and other concessions. It seems that to fulfill these election promises, the size of his state budget will have to be increased three times. Therefore they should at least make some excuses.
Shahdev said that now he has started saying that he has inherited an empty treasury, due to which he is facing difficulties. But technically, the treasury can never be completely empty, because income and expenditure is a continuous process. Income keeps coming and expenses keep going.
What did Stalin say?
Let us tell you that in response to Chief Minister Vijay’s allegation of emptying the treasury by the previous government, Stalin said on Sunday that the debt of Tamil Nadu is within the ‘permissible limit’ and he should not complain of lack of funds from now on. His comment came hours after Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Joseph Vijay alleged that the previous government had imposed a debt of Rs 10 lakh crore on the state and emptied the treasury. “Tamil Nadu’s debt level is within the permissible limits,” the former chief minister said in a post on social media platform ‘X’. Don’t start saying right now that the government has no money.
