The hustle and bustle has intensified for lakhs of students appearing for the 12th examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). On one hand, the digital platform ‘DigiLocker’ has given a second major update within two days and has indicated that the results may come very soon. At the same time, the news coming from within the board is telling a different story. There is a big problem regarding the evaluation of copies, due to which there is confusion among the students.

Preparation completed on DigiLocker

The buzz of results intensified when DigiLocker officially informed that the 12th results will soon be available on their platform. This is the second update in two days, seeing which students are speculating that the result may come in the next 24 to 48 hours. The government has advised students to activate their DigiLocker account in advance to avoid last minute rush and website crashing. The board has also shared an easy procedure for this.

How will you be able to see the result without Apar ID?

Students think that without ‘APAAR ID’ they will not be able to see their results, but it is not so. The board has clarified that students who do not have this ID can also create their account.

How to activate account?

  • First of all go to the official portal cbseservices.digilocker.gov.in.
  • Click on the Get Started button there.
  • After this, fill your information and the 6 digit Access Code given by the school.
  • Enter your mobile number and verify it by entering the OTP received on it.
  • Your account will be activated and you will be able to see your digital marksheet on the result day.

Checking of copies is still going on

Preparation for the results is in full swing on digital platforms. At the same time, reliable sources of CBSE say that the work of verification of class 12th copies has not been completely finished yet. It is reported that the answer sheets which could not be scanned due to technical glitches or poor internet are now being checked manually. At many centers in and around Delhi, special teams of teachers are checking these copies in the old traditional way.

When will the result come?

Seeing the updates of DigiLocker, students were expecting that the result will come on 12th or 13th May, but since the checking of copies is still going on, it is believed that the possibility of the result coming before 15th May is very less. Experts say that the result can be declared any day between May 15 and May 20.
