Union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy on Sunday said that if the name of any Rohingya or Bangladeshi is found in the country’s voter list, it should be removed.
Reddy urged all political parties to appoint Booth Level Agents (BLAs) and cooperate with the Election Commission during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process of voter lists. Reddy said that except Indian citizens, names of citizens of other countries should be removed from the voter list.
Union Coal and Mines Minister Kishan Reddy said in a press conference that the names of citizens of all other countries should be removed from the voting list and only those who are Indian citizens should remain in this voting list. Referring to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), he has also appealed for help from all political parties.
G Kishan Reddy has assured the people of India that the booth level workers of Bharatiya Janata Party will fully assist the Election Commission in this list. No citizen of any other country should be found in this list. Even if the name of a citizen of any foreign country is found in this list, his name will be removed from this voting list as soon as possible. In this work, Bharatiya Janata Party booth level workers will provide complete technical and ground-level assistance to the election officials in getting the names removed.
