This time a news has come from the administrative corridors of Uttar Pradesh which has brought a smile on the faces of 104 officers. After years of service, burden of files, solving public problems and fulfilling administrative responsibilities, these officers have finally got a big reward for their work. The state government has decided to increase the pay scale of 104 Deputy District Magistrates (SDM) and give them Level-11 benefits. Let us know the details.
These officers have completed at least five years of regular and satisfactory service in the pay scale 15600-39100 and grade pay 5400. On this basis, they have now been given the benefit of higher pay scale. Now these officers will be placed in Level-11 of the pay matrix, in which the pay scale ranges from Rs 67,700 to Rs 2,08,700. Now the biggest question is that how much difference will there be in the income of officers after this decision.

If SDM was working in level-10 of pay matrix. At this level his basic salary started from Rs 56,100. After adding dearness allowance, house rent allowance and other facilities, his monthly in-hand salary usually reached between Rs 90 thousand to Rs 1.10 lakh. After promotion, the basic salary of officers will increase to Rs 67,700. After adding allowances, his monthly income can reach around Rs 1.20 lakh to Rs 1.50 lakh.
Not just salary, status will also increase
The benefit of this change is not limited to salary only. After reaching higher levels in the administrative system, officers also get more important responsibilities. SDM usually monitors the law and order, revenue and administrative functions of his subdivision area. At the ADM level, officers help the District Magistrate (DM) in matters related to the entire district. Many times they have to handle the responsibilities of more than one area. Apart from this, improvement is also seen in government vehicles, staff and other administrative facilities.
Benefits will be available on different dates
The list released by the government includes the names of 104 officers working in different districts and departments of the state. According to the government order, all officers will not get this benefit from the same date. The date of benefits is decided based on their eligibility and service period.
