Today is the eliminator match of IPL 2026. Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals will clash in Mullanpur. Before this match, Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins has given a big statement about 15 year old Vaibhav Suryavanshi, which clearly shows that the Sunrisers camp is scared of Vaibhav Suryavanshi. On handling the pressure of the playoffs and needing to win three matches to win back the title, Pat Cummins said that the team will try to be more aggressive instead of being more cautious.

On creating a bowling plan for Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins said, “As a bowler, it’s always about striking a balance. Understanding what you do well and how you will bowl to your strengths, but when there are maybe one or two players in every lineup who can take the match away from the opposition, you spend a little more time working on ‘Plan B’ or ‘Plan C’. So yes, we plan for that. Even though he scored a century against us, I felt that we bowled really well against him. The second time around, he got away with it.

Regarding the pressure of the playoff match, Cummins further said, “I think you want to keep a lot of the things the same because of which you have reached the final, but there is also a little more pressure, there is a little more nervousness, so you want to accept that. I always like to think, how will you look back at that match, so that you do not have any regrets? So, my mentality is always like this when going into the final.

Cummins further said, “Instead of being too conservative, try to be even more aggressive. We have to win three matches in a row to win it. We have won more matches than this throughout the season. At one point we won five matches in a row, so it is possible. These are teams we know very well. So, yes, it will not be easy, but I think we can do it.”
