US Iran Conflict: The US Army has once again carried out major military attacks in Iran. According to US officials, the overnight attacks targeted military targets that the US military considered a threat to its troops and commercial ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
According to news agency Reuters, an American official, on condition of anonymity, said that the US military also shot down several Iranian drones, which were considered a potential threat.
Tension increased in the Strait of Hormuz
It has been reported that American action was mainly taken regarding activities around the Strait of Hormuz. This sea route is considered one of the most important oil trade routes in the world. The US says that Iranian military activities and drone movements were posing a threat to commercial ships passing through there and to American forces.

The war has been going on for three months
The ongoing tension between America and Iran has been increasing continuously for the last three months. This war started after the attacks by America and Israel on 28 February. Thousands of people have died in this conflict so far, while the global energy market has also been badly affected. Due to the war, there has been a sharp increase in the prices of oil and energy at the international level.
New action taken amid peace talks
These new attacks have taken place at a time when talks are going on between the two sides to end the war. Meanwhile, it was claimed in Iranian state media that under a possible peace agreement, Iran and Oman could jointly handle shipping operations in the Strait of Hormuz. However, US President Donald Trump rejected this claim. Trump clearly said that the Strait of Hormuz will remain open and international traffic will continue there.
America has attacked before also
The US also took action against Iran on Monday, which it described as a “defensive attack”. However, Iran had termed it as a violation of the fragile ceasefire between the two countries. According to the Central Command of the US Army, in that action those boats and missile launch sites were targeted which were posing a threat to the American forces.
