SBI Rewards: Many banks send messages to people’s phones regarding their latest scheme or any new update. These messages can be of any type, be it multimedia messages, text messages, but are all of them genuine? How will this be known? Like recently, some people are receiving a message in the name of SBI Bank, asking them to download or install the APK file to get rewards. But is this message correct? Should I download this file? What is the whole matter?
Actually, since few days many people have been receiving a message from SBI Bank. This message reads, ‘Dear customers, your SBI NetBanking Reward Point (Rs 9980.00) is about to expire! Claim it now by installing SBI Rewards App, your reward will be deposited in your account in the form of cash. Thank you. Team SBI. Now the government itself has revealed the truth of this message.

What is the truth of the message?
Now the truth of this message has been exposed through government agency PIB Fact Check. In which a screenshot of this message has been shared, on which it is clearly written FAKE. Apart from this it is written, ‘Beware of thugs! SBI never sends links or unsolicited APK files on SMS or WhatsApp.
Along with this, it is written in the caption, ‘Have you also received the message to download and install the APK file to redeem SBI rewards? Attention!’ It is further written while fact checking that PIB Fact Check does not confirm this news. Tagging @TheOfficialSBI, it is written, ‘Never sends links or APK files on SMS/WhatsApp. Do not download unknown files or click on such links.
