Tata Consultancy Services (TCS iON), the exam conducting agency, said that the delay was due to a technical problem in the system, which was later rectified.

NTA statement and status control
The examination conducting body National Testing Agency (NTA) made it clear that the students whose examination started late will be given full time so that injustice is not done to any candidate. It was also said that the rumors of cancellation of the examination are wrong and the examination process is going on normally.

In view of the delay at some centres, the exam schedule was also changed. Entry for the afternoon shift was started from 2:30 pm and the exam was now started at 4 pm instead of 3 pm.
